PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION 1999

The inauguration of the new South African President will take place on Wednesday, June 16th 1999 at the Union Buildings, Pretoria. The farewell to President Nelson Mandela will follow these formal events. More details will be issued once the programmes have been finalised.

Special Inauguration accreditation of all journalists (local and foreign) will be done by GCIS.

GCIS requires the following from each journalist/correspondent of South African media only:

1. Copy of valid press card;

2. Letter from bureau/network/newspaper/magazine/radio, etc

Please note that there will be a strict deadline for accreditation: 3 June 1999.
