ITINERARY OF NELSON MANDELA (14-04-99 TO 18-04-99)

Wednesday, 14 April 1999:

President Mandela accompanied by representatives of the business sector visit Osborne (near Umtata, Eastern Cape) between 10H00 and 11H00 and thereafter visit Mqanduli (near Umtata, Eastern Cape) between 13H00 and 14H00. They will fly from Umtata to Osborne and onto Mqanduli.

Thursday, 15 April 1999:

The President will receive credentials from representatives of Korea and Cyprus at the Presidential Guest House, Pretoria, between 10H00 and 11H00. Photo-Opportunity.

President Mandela hosts a luncheon for the South African Cricket Team at Mahlamba-Ndlopfu, Pretoria, between 12H30 and 13H30. Photo-Opportunity.

In the evening between 19H00 and 20H00 the President will meet opinion makers representing the Afrikaans Community at a venue in Pretoria. Contact Lester Bouwer at the Premier's office, Gauteng for more information.

Friday, 16 April 1999:

President Mandela will receive the Freedom of the City from Durban, KwaZulu-Natal between 09H30 and 11H00.

In the afternoon and evening the President will rest at his home in Qunu.

Saturday, 17 April 1999:

President Mandela will attend the installation ceremony of Nkosi S P Holomisa at Lower Ngqungqu Great Place, Mqanduli, near Umtata.

The President will attend The Three Tenors concert at the Union Buildings in Pretoria between 19H00 and 21H00.
