HUMAN RIGHTS DAY CELEBRATIONS

In remembrance of the Sharpeville massacre and the culmination of Human Rights Week, this year's Human Rights day, Sunday March 21st, will be celebrated under the banner of Equality. The day will also be celebrated as a tribute to President Nelson Mandela.

A free outdoor concert will be held at the Newtown Cultural Precinct in Johannesburg (cnr Jeppe and Bezuidenhout Streets) from 10:30am - 8:00pm. The line-up includes internationally acclaimed musician Jabu Khanyile and Bayete, legendary Dr Philip Tabane, poet Don Materra, Springbok Nude Girls, Prophets of da City, Kwaito stars, Bongo Muffin and Mdu Masilela
