The South African Government has taken note of the decision by the Mozambican court to release Mr Robert McBride.
The government further noted that Mr McBride was required to make an undertaking to the effect that should he be required in Mozambique for any reason, including appearing before a court of law, he shall avail himself.
Should we as government be requested to facilitate his availing himself in Mozambique, we stand in readiness to co-operate in the spirit of the relevant bilateral as well as multilateral instruments.
