Health Minister, Dr Zuma will today leave for Mauritius to attend the South African Developing Countries (SADC) Health Sector meeting from 09 - 11 September 1998.
Since the establishment of the SADC Health Sector, a year ago, South Africa was tasked to coordinate its activities amongst member states. Dr Zuma chairs the meetings.
Dr Zuma returns to South Africa on 11 September 1998. During her absence, the Minister of Finance, Mr T Manuel will act as Minister of Health.
