A bright and colourful Arbor Week poster has been produced as part of the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry awareness campaign.
This poster was sponsored by TOTAL SA and Nedbank for the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry (DWAF). 80 000 are being distributed nationally to schools, clinics, companies and other community centres. The theme for this year's Arbor Week is "Plant a Tree for Life". It is hoped that this will encourage all of South Africa to plant, look after or sponsor a tree during Arbor Week, 1-7 September.
Awareness of the importance of trees in our lives is a primary objective of the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry for Arbor Week. This poster, along with an information leaflet (sponsored by Nedbank), bumper stickers (sponsored by Ellerines), and a radio and television campaign, have been designed to achieve maximum awareness. Arbor Week will help to green South Africa.
