NORTH WEST PREMIER, VILAKAZI, MASHATILE TO ADDRESS OPERATION THIBA RALLY PHASE II
North West Premier, Mr Popo Molefe, his MEC for Transport and Civil Aviation, Mr Frans Vilakazi and Gauteng's Paul Mashatile for Safety and Security will jointly address Operation Thiba Rally Phase II on June 14 1998.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Odi Stadium at 11h00.
The rally is intended to address the taxi violence that has claimed lives in the Eastern Region of the North West Province that borders the Gauteng province. It will also address the finalisation of the legalisation process of the illegal taxis.
There will be a motorcade at 10h00 from Temba police station to Rietgat and will then proceed to Mabopane.
The communities of the affected areas are invited to attend the rally.
