Sugarboy

One more, I am sending you a message acknowledging your achievements. There is a dogged commitment on your part to put your country on world headlines all the time, which is what all patriots should do. And a patriot is what you are.

The fight with Fred Alvarez last Friday was inspiring indeed, and my opinion is that it was one of the best fights you have ever had.

At your age, and being the first South African boxer to win the world title three times, you have won yourself a special place in the roll of honour of South African Sportsmen and women.

The recognition that you are the second oldest boxer to win the world title since George Foreman - who is one of the greatest fighter to grace the boxing ring - is yet another milestone in your illustrious career.

Those of us who have worn boxing gloves know that to win a boxing title at your age is not just a mark of natural talent, but a quality of unsurpassable sportsmanship.
