Health Minister, Dr Nkosazana Zuma and the Director-General for Health, Dr Olive Shisana have agreed to re-negotiate the latter's contract of employment.
This decision follows an assessment of recent media developments and the impact they have had on the functioning of the department.
The matter has been referred, to the Department of Public Service and Administration for further action. Details thereof will be made available as soon as the process has been finalised.
