MEDIA STATEMENT ON THE AMALGAMATION OF SOUTH AFRICAN DIPLOMATIC MISSIONS IN BRUSSELS
The Department of Foreign Affairs has decided, after careful consideration, in the light of budgetary constraints to amalgamate the Embassy in Brussels and the South African mission to the European Community with effect from mid-1998. The Belgian Government has been duly informed and has understanding for the situation.
