The President stated he did not doubt the loyalty of any of the members of the leadership of the Defence Force, more especially those who earned their colours in the former liberation army of the national liberation movement.

The President is continuing with his consultations on the next course of action arising from the report and findings of the Mohamed Commission. The Office of the President will issue a statement in this regard as soon as, in the opinion of the President, all the necessary consultations have been completed.
