VISIT TO SOUTH AFRICA BY PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON
The following times schedule are subject to changes and therefore it would be advisable for all press representatives to arrive at the venue earlier rather than later.
The following media advisory should be read in conjunction with previous advisories and note should be taken of the arrival times which have changed. Please also note that the programme has been adjusted. No journalists will be given access to any event unless they have accreditation to that specific event. We therefore appeal to those pool members with accreditation to share material as widely as possible.
1. ARRIVAL AT JOHANNESBURG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
All media representatives should arrive at gate 2 between 09:00 and 10:00 on Saturday 28 March. TV and sound crews wishing to set up their equipment beforehand must be at this venue between 07:30 and 08:30.
Coming from Johannesburg and on arrival at the airport, follow the signs indicating Air Freight. Gate 2 is at the end of the access road to the airfreight terminal next to the long line of covered parking bays.
It would be advisable to arrive in time as the Airports Company has requested that all journalists and officials be issued with entry permits over and above the press accreditation. You will be required to fill in a form and receive an entry badge/sticker. Please remember to carry your personal ID documents at all times. You will be transported by shuttle bus to the press stands where two flatbed trucks will be available for the press, to be shared by the USA and SA/FCA press groups.
