INVITATION TO MEDIA BRIEFING - THE ROAD AHEAD
Three agencies, independent of the Department of Transport, will come into operation on 1 April 1998. They are the South African National Roads Agency, the South African Maritime Agency and the South African Cross-Broder Road Transport Agency.
The Minister of Transport invites you to meet the boards of these three agencies and their Chief Executive Officers after he signs a Memorandum of Understanding with them on 31 March 1998.
This opens a new chapter for both the Department of Transport and the transport industry in this country, and the Minister of Transport invites you to be there.
