STATEMENT OF THE MINISTER FOR PROVINCIAL AFFAIRS AND CONSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT ON THE SITUATION AT BUTTERWORTH
The Minister for Provincial Affairs and Constitutional Development, Valli Moosa and the Department of Constitutional Development have taken note of the steps adopted by the Eastern Cape Government to restore proper governance in Butterworth.
The Provincial Government kept the Minister informed on the developments relating to this matter. The Minister recalls on all stakeholders in Butterworth to accept the steps taken by the Eastern Cape Government.
The proposals and measures if implemented accordingly will set a precedent on how Government and Stakeholders in the community can ensure the amicable resolution of disputes in our quest to serve our people better and improve the standard of quality Local Government
