Health Minister, Dr Nkosazana Zuma, will be guest speaker at the Annual Opening Day ceremony for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Transkei, Friday 13 March 1998.
The ceremony starts at 10:30 and will be followed by a tour of the faculty, after which Dr Zuma will have meetings with the Dean of the Faculty of Medicines and Health sciences and the heads of departments.
Later in the day the Minister will officiate at the opening of Cala Hospital in Region B. The old hospital in this region was demolished due to its inhabitability and a new one built instead.
Dr Zuma is expected to tour the hospital and have meetings with management and staff.
