DR ZUMA AT GA-RANKUWA HOSPITAL AS SIAMESE TWINS CELEBRATE 1ST BIRTHDAY
Health Minister, Dr Nkosazana Zuma, will on Friday, 23 January 1998 attend the 1 year birthday celebration of the recently separated Zambian siamese twins at Ga-Rankuwa Hospital, outside Pretoria at 13h30.
She is expected to meet the neurosurgical team, which on 30 December 1997 conducted a successful 30hr surgical procedure to separate the twins who were joined at the head.
The neurosurgical team was led by Prof S Mokgokong of Ga-Rankuwa Hospital and a number of specialists from Zambia, United States, and Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.
Dr Zuma will also have meetings with management and staff of the hospital.
