MEDIA ALERT (REMINDER)
Dr Mathole Motshekga will be elected as the Gauteng's new Premier on Monday, 19 January 1998 in the Selbourne Hall at 10am, corner President and Loveday Streets, Johannesburg. The swearing-in of Dr Motshekga will take place at the Library Gardens, opposite City Hall Building, after the adjournment of the House at 11am.
The new premier will be replacing Mr Tokyo Sexwale who last year indicated that he will quit Provincial Government to pursue a career in business, quoting mining as his possible new venture.
The event is to be attended by a host of dignitaries across the country.
