SADC COUNCIL OF MINISTERS
MAPUTO, 28 - 30 JANUARY 1998
NORMS OF ACCREDITATION FOR MEDIA PERSONNEL
A SADC Council of Ministers will be held in Maputo from 28 - 30 January 1998. Media personnel of the SADC Member States who wish to cover the event will need to apply in advance for their registration and accreditation. Their application should contain full name, identification press card number and the name of the news organization of the applicant. All journalists should supply one (1) passport size photograph during the accreditation.
A press assisting centre will be established at the Nautical School of Maputo on 25 January 1998. Facilities at this centre will include international telephone and fax lines.
Press briefing sessions will be announced in advance to media representatives during tenure of the SADC Council of Ministers.
Accommodation and transport is not being organized by the Mozambican Government. Thus all concerned media representatives at the event will have to arrange their own with various hotels and rent-a-car companies in Maputo. The Cabinet of Information can help with additional information.
It would be helpful if media representatives could let the organizers know in advance about their intended participation.
