PROVINCIAL LEGISLATURE WILL BE HOLDING A SITTING

The GAUTENG Provincial Legislature will be holding the last Sitting of the House for 1997 on Friday, December 12, beginning at 8am.

Media attending the sitting are expected to follow the following guidelines:

a) Journalists etc are expected to contact the Media Liaison unit with the following details

Media are expected to pick up their media tags from Wednesday afternoon. On Friday, media tags will be available in the Media Room (Room 143) on the First Floor of the Gauteng Legislature. Telephone and fax facilities will be available in the above-mentioned room throughout Friday.

The main media events are noted as:

10.30am - Photo-session in the Chamber

12pm - Press conference involving special guests and the Speaker.

Recordings and photos outside the chamber will be allowed subject to security arrangements. Television crews and photographers are asked to please make available special requests regarding equipment provisions (wall plugs etc) A full programme is attached.
