MEDIA STATEMENT ON THE DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
The present incumbent of the post of Director-General of Foreign Affairs, Mr L H (Rusty) Evans, whose term of office was renewed by the Government in 1994, will vacate his post at the end of 1997. Mr Evans has been administratively responsible for the transformation of the Department in a transition period and has agreed to further assist in the process of the selection and filling of the Head of Department post which will be advertised in the near future.
