ITINERARY OF PRESIDENT NELSON MANDELA

Tuesday, 5 August 1997

The President will meet the leadership of the South African Students Congress at the Union Buildings. The meeting will start at 10h00.

At 11h00 the President will receive a delegation of the International Olympic Committee. The IOC members are from Spain, India, Korea, Cuba and Switzerland.

At 12h30, the President will bid the former Miss South Africa, Peggy Sue Khumalo farewell at a lunch at Mahlambandlopfu.

Wednesday, 6 August 1997

The President will attend a Cabinet meeting at the Union Buildings.

Thursday, 7 August 1997

The President will visit the offices of NACTU and FEDUSA in Johannesburg. He will arrive at the offices at 08h00. He will thereafter proceed to Pretoria for a meeting with FEDUSA. The meeting will take place at 47 Selati Street, Ashlea Gardens, Pretoria.

Friday, 8 August 1997

At 09h30, the President will receive a delegation of members of the International Olympic Committee at the Union Buildings. The delegation will be composed of members from Australia and Japan.

At 12h00, the President will receive Mr Koffi Annan, the Secretary General of the United Nations.

At 17h30 the President will attend the opening of the International Convention Centre in Durban.
