MEDIA INVITATION TO DEPT OF HEALTH WORKSHOP

WORKSHOP: REPORTING ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD

The Department of Health cordially invites you to participate at the above-mentioned workshop which has been organised to obtain information from various stakeholders and the public in preparation of South Africa's Report on the implementation of the Convention on the "Rights of the Child". This report will then be submitted to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child in Geneva, Switzerland for their review in December 1997.

• Interview opportunities with child representatives during Tea/Coffee breaks on 24 July from 10:00 - 10:30 will be arranged.
• Media conference, 25 July 09:00 - 10:00 - chair, Ms S Kimayro.
