MEDIA STATEMENT ON THE APPOINTMENT OF SOUTH AFRICAN AMBASSADOR
Following the recent announcement of the appointment of Mr Raymond Suttner as Ambassador to Sweden and Ms ME Sisulu as Consul-General to New York, Minister Alfred Nzo today announced the appointment of Mr CVN Scholtz as Ambassador to Taipei, Republic of China.
MR CVN SCHOLTZ : Taipei, Republic of China
Mr Nicky Scholtz (48) has had a long career in the foreign service. Previous postings aborad include London, Washington, Tokyo and most recently as Ambassador to Budapest, where he opened the first South African diplomatic mission in Hungary. Mr Scholtz holds a BA Hons degree and is considered a talented linguist, having mastered languages like Japanese and Hungarian.
