At 10H15 President Mandela will meet the US Congressional delegation at Tuynhuys, Cape Town.
IOC member, His Excellency Mr Jean-Claude Ganga, will pay a courtesy call on President Mandela at Genadendal at 15H00. PHOTO-OPPORTUNITY. Media to use Klipper Road entrance.
Thursday, 29 May 1997:
At 08H00 President Mandela will attend a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security and Intelligence at Tuynhuys.
Thereafter, at 10H00, the President will attend an ANC Caucus in Cape Town.
At noon Mr C E Weatherup of Pepsi-Cola will pay a courtesy call on the President at Tuynhuys. PHOTO-OPPORTUNITY.
President Mandela will visit Pollsmoor prison between 14H30 and 15H30.
In the evening (18H00 to 20H00) the President will attend the 1997 Nelson Mandela Award for Health and Human Rights at the Rotunda Bay Hotel, Camps Bay.
Friday, 30 May 1997:
Ambassdador E Goussarov of Russia pays a courtesy call on the President at 09h00 at Genadendal.
The President will attend the official opening of the Table Bay Hotel at the Waterfront between 12h30 and 14h00.
Saturday, 31 May 1997:
President Mandela will spend the day with his family.
Sunday, 1 June 1997:
The President will rest today.
Monday, 2 June 1997:
President Mandela will attend the opening of the OAU Summit in Harare Zimbabwe.
