We appreciate the interest you have in the Department of Public Works and would like to avoid, or at least keep to a minimum, any inconvenience to you which may arise from the changing of our telephone number and working hours.
Please note that with effect from 31 March 1997, our telephone number at Head Office in Pretoria will be: (012) 337-2000
This is our switchboard number, individual extension numbers can unfortunately not be confirmed immediately. The change results from the upgrading of our switchboard, which we believe will prove to enhance service to and interaction with you in the longer term.
With effect from 1 April 1997, our office hours will be from 08:00 to 16:30, Mondays to Fridays. These hours correspond with the bulk of business hours in South Africa and we trust you will not be inconvenienced by the change.
