MEDIA RELEASE BY DR AM OMAR MP, MINISTER OF JUSTICE WITH REGARD TO THE APPOINTMENT OF MR PAJ KOTZE AS ACTING JUDGE FOR THE VENDA SUPREME COURT
It is hereby announced that Mr PAJ Kotze a former Regional Court President has been appointed as Acting Judge for the Supreme Court of Venda, for the period 3 February to 14 February 1997.
Mr Kotze joined the Department of Justice in 1954 as a clerk and retired in August 1995 as the Regional Court President for Pretoria. He was thereafter appointed as acting Regional Court President until August 1996 whereafter he has been serving as an Acting Regional Court Magistrate in the Roodepoort area for certain periods of time.
This is the first appointment to be made to the Supreme Court Bench of a former Regional Court Magistrate and I congratulate him on his appointment and wish him well.
