Due to the fact that several officials of the Directorate: Media Liaison will be taking severance packages from February 28, 1997, this directorate will unfortunately not be in a position to assist you with the distribution of media releases after hours in the foreseeable future.
The SACS will however still have access to SAPA PR facilities and be responsible for paying the monthly account on behalf of Government, which authorises SAPA to distribute unaltered government media releases to subscribers.
You are therefore invited to send your after hour media releases directly to SAPA at fax number: (011) 331 7473 with the specific request to bill the SACS. As in the past and due to high cost, no speeches will be distributed via SAPA PR.
During office hours you are still welcome to fax your media releases to this section at fax number: 012 326 0317, or to our Parliamentary section at (021) 461 1446 during Parliamentary sessions.
