DR ZUMA INVITED TO CUBA
Health Minister, Dr Nkosazana zuma will leave for Cuba on 24 January 1997, where she will spend a week at the invitation of her Cuban counterpart, Dr Carlos Dotres.
The main focus of her visit will be to concretise the Agreement of Intent, signed between the two countries in November 1996, which entails co-operation in the field of Health Research, Academic Co-operation, Health Policy Programmes, Biotechnology, Vaccine Production and Pharmaceutical Development.
Dr Zuma is expected to return on 3 February 1997 and during her absence, Mr Jeff Radebe, the Minister of Public Works will be Acting Minister of Health.
