VISIT OF NATIONAL MINISTER OF TRANSPORT TO MMABATHO - JANUARY 16
The national Minister of Transport Mr Mac Maharaj along with the Director General of Transport, Mr Ketso Gordhan and the chairperson of the National Taxi Task Team Mr Dipak Patel will visit Mmabatho on January 16,1997.
All registered taxi associations, the NTI board of directors, the Department of Education and district local council representatives are among those invited to attend a meeting
1. A strategic assessment and discussion of key policy areas, especially traffic safety, land passenger transport (scholar transport) and organisational and capacity development.
2. A broader meeting of the taxi industry representatives and the metropolitan and local authority representatives hosted by the national and provincial Departments of Transport.
Meetings will be held from 10am to 3pm on Thursday January 16 at the Mmabatho Civic Centre.
