President Nelson Mandela will meet the chairperson of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Archbishop Desmond Tutu and vice chairperson Alex Boraine on Friday to discuss the proposal of the TRC that cut-off date for amnesty be extended from 1993 to 1994.
The meeting is also intended to satisfy the request by General Constand Viljoen, that a meeting be held to discuss the same question.
Gen Viljoen will also join the discussion as well as the Minister of Justice Dullah Omar.
The meeting will take place in Johannesburg at President Mandela's residence in Lower Houghton.
