I have made a point of always sending congratulatory messages to our sports teams, men and women, whenever they attain victory either at home or abroad.
I send these messages in all sincerity. I mention this because you and the other young men and women who do us so proud may not realise just how much you generate for the country through the exemplary sportsmanship you demonstrate.
You win friends and admiration for your teams in foreign lands. My experience is that that friendship has often translated into immense admiration for our country.
I encourage you to carry on with this good work.
Your mission has more to do with representing your country as ambassadors than just with cricket, which happens to be a great game.
I congratulate you on your recent victory.
