The Land Tax Sub-Committee of the Tax Commission has announced that in view of public interest, the date for submissions on the question of a land tax has been extended to 29 November 1996.
The Sub-Committee has pointed out that the scope of its investigation is limited to land in rural areas and it is not envisaged that any such tax would be imposed in addition to municipal rates.
