SOUTHERN AFRICAN MINISTERS CONFERENCE ON POPULATION AND DEVELOPMENT, 28 - 31 OCTOBER 1996, ROODEVALLEI COUNTRY LODGE, PRETORIA
All media are invited to a press conference by Ms Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi, Minister of Welfare and Population Development, Dr Nafis Sadik, Executive Director of the UNFPA and Ms Barbara Klugman, Consultant on Population Policy Formulation, to give feedback on the outcome of the Ministers Conference on Population and Development.
This conference is being held as part of the regional follow-up to the International Conference on Population and Development. The main objectives are to explore areas for collaboration in the fields of population and development between countries in the Southern African region and to establish a formalised structure for co-opera- tion in the field of population as part of the SADC structures.
