THE ZONING OF THE ROODEPLAAT DAM: PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PROGRAMME: INVITATION TO ATTEND FIRST PUBLIC MEETING
The Department of Water Affairs and Forestry has initiated the compilation of a zoning plan for the Roodeplaat Dam. Through the integration of conservation, recreation and development, the Department will strive to ensure that optimum use of state land by all inhabitants of South Africa is possible.
As part of the zoning process currently followed within the Department and in accordance with the Integrated Environmental Management Procedure compiled by the Department of Environmental Affairs in 1992, a public participation programme is now being initiated. All interested and affected parties are invited to participate in a series of public meetings during which a conceptzoning plan will be presented, evaluated, discussed and amended if necessary.
Your are hereby invited to attend the first of the above mentioned public meetings which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 9 November 1996 at the conference room of the Training Centre of the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry at the Roodeplaat Dam. Tea and coffee will be served at 09:30 and the meeting will commence at 10:00.
