The Portfolio Committee on Trade and Industry has resolved in terms of rule 63(1) to authorise its sub-committee on Competition Policy to deal with the recommendations made in the "Report on Public Hearings into Alleged Collusion on Interest Rates Hikes" adopted by the Committee on August 21 1996.
The Sub-Committee will determine its own procedures in accordance with the rules of parliament, and may for the purposes of dealing with matters dealt with in the above mentioned report co-opt two additional members; one nominated by the Portfolio Committee on Housing and the other by the Joint Standing Committee on Finance.
