ITINERARY OF PRESIDENT MANDELA (17-08-96 to 24-08-96)

Saturday, 17 August 1996:

President Mandela will spend the day in Kutuma, Zimbabwe attending the wedding ceremony of President Robert Mugabe in Kutama.

Sunday, 18 August 1996:

The President will attend to meetings in Gauteng.

Tuesday, 20 August 1996: -

President Mandela spends the day in Johannesburg.

Wednesday, 21 August 1996: -

The President attends a Cabinet meeting at 08H30 at Tuynhuys, Cape Town.

At 12H30 there will be a photo opportunity at Kirstenbosch, Cape Town, during a painting presentation to the President.

Thursday, 22 August 1996:

The President will meet His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet at 09H30.

At 19H00 the President will attend a banquet hosted by Mimosa Films at the Free State Technikon, Boet Troskie Hall, Bloemfontein.

Friday, 23 August 1996:

The President will rest at his home in Houghton, Johannesburg.

Saturday, 24 August 1996:

President Mandela will attend a SADC meeting in Maseru, Lesotho.
