The Transport Sector of the National Framework Agreement involving both labour and government representatives met on 15 August to discuss the restructuring of State Owned Enterprises. The meeting was attended by Minister's Mac Maharaj and Stella Sigcau.
Agreement was reached on the detailed process that will be followed when addressing any restructuring exercise.
No specific decisions were taken on implementing any proposal at this stage.
The joint team from government and labour will meet on 23 August 1996 to resume its work.
