MEDIA ADVISORY
Reports in the media alleging that Minister for Agriculture and Land Affairs, Mr Derek Hanekom, is attending the Centennial Games in Atlanta, are incorrect. Mr Hanekom left the country on 19 July 1996 in order to attend the US-South Africa Binational Commission on Agriculture in Washington DC, on which he serves as co-chairperson.
