In terms of Section 4 of the National Youth Commission Act, 1996 (Act 19 of 1996), the President, on the advice of the Ad Hoc Joint Committee of Parliament on the Youth Commission, has formally appointed the following persons as members of the Youth Commission with effect from 1 July 1996 for a period of five (5) years:
