North West Premier Mr Popo Molefe is to be the main speaker at a "bush braai" at the first annual general meeting of the North West Business Forum, a grouping of black and white business people in the province.
Other speakers to grace the first AGM of the forum include national Minister of Public Works Mr Jeff Radebe, North West MEC for Finance and Economic Affairs Mr Martin Kuscus, the managing director of the North West Development Corporation Mr Johan Maree and the Chief Director: Procurement Services (State Tender Board) Mr Jan Breytenbach.
The North West Business Forum describes itself as "a confederation of business organisations, including SMMEs in the North West".
The forum's main focus is on the promotion of economic growth and development in the province with a view to boosting small and micro enterprises. It was formally inaugurated on November 29 last year, but its first AGM takes place tomorrow.
