MOKOENA APPOINTED DEPUTY DIRECTOR-GENERAL

MEDIA RELEASE BY THE MINISTER OF HOME AFFAIRS: MANGOSUTHU BUTHELEZI: 15 MAY 1996

The Minister of Home Affairs, Dr M G Buthelezi, has announced that Mr A Mokoena has been appointed as Deputy Director-General in the Department of Home Affairs with the specific responsibility for Civic Affairs and Administration.

Mr Mokoena is in possession of B Com (Accounting) and MBA as well as a post graduate diploma in Service Industry Management. At present he is enrolled for a Ph.D degree focusing on cross-cultural perceptions on managerial qualities.

Before joining the Department he held the position of Executive Director at Nampak Blow Moulders. During the 1994 election he was in charge of voter education at the Independent Electoral Commission.
