Please note that at its meeting on 14 March 1996 the Programme Committee confirmed the following programme arrangements for Parliament and the Constitutional Assembly:
(1) 4 April - 14 April : Easter Recess. (2) 29 March - 8 May : No sittings of Houses. (3) 29 March : CA plenary session. (4) 1 April - 4 April : Constitutional Committee (CA) (Parliamentary committee meetings can be scheduled, but CA activities get priority) (5) 15 April - 19 April : Constitutional Committee (CA) (Portfolio committees meet to consider Budget Votes which will be discussed soon after House sittings recommence on 9 May, but CA activities get priority) (6) 22 April - 8 May : CA plenary sessions only (7) 9 May : Houses commence with legislation and discussion of Budget Votes.
