PRESS STATEMENT OF THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE PORTFOLIO COMMITTEE ON COMMUNICATIONS - 27 FEBRUARY 1996
The Portfolio Committee on communications has, after interviewing candidates has decided on the following shortlist for IBA Councillors: The List is in alphabetical order:
1. Mr P Lotriet 2. Mr Raymond Louw 3. Mr M Maponya 4. Mr G L Ramusi 5. Ms L Shope-Mafole 6. Ms R Tomaselli
In compiling the shortlist the committee took into account the fact that there are related processes in which Councillors for the SABC Board ITA) will be appointed.
The shortlist is hereby published as prescribed by the Act. The shortlist will be discussed by the various parties in their caucuses and other instructions will be taken by the Portfolio Committee on Tuesday the 5th of March 1996.
