PRESS RELEASE BY CHAIRPERSON OF THE EASTERN CAPE AND KWAZULU/NATAL BOUNDARY COMMISSION
The Eastern Cape and KwaZulu/Natal Boundary Commission wishes to announce that it will be concluding its Public Hearings schedule nest week, when the residents of the districts of Bizana, Flagstaff, Lusikisiki, Mount Ayliff, Mount Fletcher, Mount Frere and Tabankulu will be afforded the opportunity of expressing their views to the Commission. The times and dates for the Commission's Public hearings the District of Northern Transkei/Pondoland are as follows:

Furthermore, the Commission would like to report on the following. In terms of paragraph 3 of its terms of reference, the Commission was enjoined to prepare and submit an interim report, to the President by 30 November 1995, on issues requiring urgent attention. The Commission identified only one such issue, namely, the very strong probability that the Commission would not be able to meet deadline set for the submission of its final report which is 31 January 1996. In response to request in the Interim Report, the President extended the date for the submission of the final report to 31 March 1996.
