NEW POLICE SERVICE IN WESTBURY, JOHANNESBURG

In response to a demand from the Westbury community a new police contact point has been established outside Coronation Hospital.

This service, operating round the clock from a stationery police vehicle parked at the corner of Fuel and Steytler streets, has been established with the aim of:

• Improving the response of the police to complaints from the Westbury community. In particular, the ai9m is to shorten the response time when residents call for assistance.
• Encouraging a cooperative relationship between residents ad members of the police service.

The Ministry of Safety and Security has taken residents' pleas for a more accessible, user-friendly policing service seriously. We urge residents to make constructive use of the facility to help defeat criminal action which has had such a devastating impact on this small community.
