SOUTH AFRICA APPEALS FOR ADHERENCE TO LUSAKA PROTOCOL
The South African Government has noted with concern recent reports of several ceasefire violations in the Republic of Angola.
The South African Government fully supports the Lusaka Protocol signed in November 1994 and would like to appeal to all parties to strictly adhere to the complete implementation of the of the protocol under the supervision of UNAVEM III.
The countries in the Southern African region are anxious to see the early implementation of an integrated Government of National Reconciliation in Angola.
