Gauteng Local Government and Housing Minister Mr. Dan Mofokeng expresses his satisfaction at the way polling is progressing. He has repeated his earlier call for the electorates from the area to go out in their large numbers to cast their votes. He says "Today's polling is aimed at ensuring that the process of Reconstruction and Development is placed in the hands of legiti- mately elected councillers who will be accountable to the electo- rates."
