@ MINUTE SILENCE IN SUPPORT OF ANTI CRIME CAMPAIGN
Issued by: Sun International
On Wednesday the 29th November 1996 the Wild Coast Sun will observe a minutes silence in support of Ray McCauley's anti crime campaign.
Pastor Ray McCauley of Rhema Ministries South Africa, has taken the initiative in launching a nation wide anti crime campaign. The main aim of the campaign is to protest to the authorities that tougher and more drastic measures are needed in South Africa to stem the growing crime rate. The campaign culminates on Wednesday 29th November when the people of South Africa are asked to observe a minutes silence and come into the streets to hold hands as a practical means of showing their support for the message of peace.
The Wild Coast Sun will observe a minutes silence at one minute to noon on Wednesday and ideally they would like all activities at the resort to stop and for all guests to join in.
Managing Director Alberto Chiaranda said the minute silence will not be imposed on guests but that he would like it to be known that the Wild Coast Sun is part of the spirit of peace which the campaign aims for.
