PRESS RELEASE
After consultation between SAFA and the Ministry of Sport and Recreation it was agreed:
That SAFA is not in a position to host Nigeria in the forthcoming Four-Nations tournament given the correct decision taken by the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting to suspend Nigeria from the Commonwealth.
We condemn the inhuman actions of the Nigerian Government in the strongest terms possible.
It should be noted, that this decision is no reflection on the Nigerian Soccer Team.
