NORTH WEST PROVINCIAL GOVRNMENTS'S DISCUSSION WITH THE SABC AND IBA REGARDING BBC
Premier Molefe will vbe leading delegation of the Provincial government and the Director General of the Bophuthatswana Broadcasting Corportation to a meeting with the Independetn Broadcasting Authority and the kSouth African Broadcasting Corporation.
The meetinis to discuss the proposed integration process of public broadcasting authorithies by the Independent Broadcasting Authority, job security of BBC employees and integration time frames.
The delegation consists of Ms Riani de Wet, the MECA for Public Media and Broadcasting, Dr Sefularo, the MEC for Health and Mr Solly Kotane, the Director General of teh BBC.
This meeting is one of the interventions that the Premier and the Provincial Government have undertaken to ensure that integration of the services does nkot have negative effects on the BBC workers.
A press briefing will be held this afternoon at 17h00 at the offices of the IBA in Johannesburg, 26 Becker Street, Kasho House in Rosebank.
